GBS batteries are manufacturered by GB Systems in Ningbo China, formerly Ningbo Thundersky. Chemistry is LiFeMnPO4. These are the first cells to have passed China's certification tests for on road use, which requires the cell to not catch fire or explode when dropped, over discharged, over charged, baked, frozen, crushed or pierced with a steel rod. In addition to the safety of the chemistry the cell itself offers several other safety features such as the terminal design which uses 4 small screws instead of one large bolt. This gives a more even down force and eliminates the possibility of the connection coming loose and rotating. The cells also includes a cell cover where the terminal jumpers and BMS boards install under neath. The assembled pack is protected from the dropped screw driver problem.

Battery Management System

Our BMS systems are the most advanced, sophisticated, systems available which are specifically designed for Li-ion battery applications. The BMS system measures and displays both the voltage and temperature of each battery cell, and also displays total pack voltage and current. The system provides warnings and alarm signals when fault conditions are detected. Alarm signals are communicated to chargers and other external electronics through communication ports. Our BMS systems also come with a cell balancing feature, which ensures that all cells in the pack are closely matched. System setup, alarm configuration, and cell balancing parameters can be custom programmed to accommodate any specific requirements.

Battery Balancer System

We also offer a low cost, stand alone, balancer solution which provides basic cell balancing functions without the display, alarm reporting and external communications functions.
